Bayside Bovine Veterinary Services is a mobile veterinary practice founded in December 2016 by Dr. Matthew Weeman.

Dr. Weeman grew up on a dairy farm in northeastern Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University where he obtained his B.S. in agriculture in 2010 and went on to earn his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2013 when he graduated as president of his class. He later earned his M.S. in Comparative and Veterinary Medicine in 2016.

 

Dr. Weeman has extensive experience with dairy medicine, research and production. He began his career in the heart of dairy production in the Finger Lakes region of New York before relocating to the Delmarva peninsula in 2015. He will tailor his services to meet the unique needs of herds with thousands of cows and those with just a few 4-H animals.

 

Dr. Weeman is an honorary member of the National Dairy Shrine and was honored as Maryland's 2019 Distinguished Veterinarian. Dr. Weeman serves on the board of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association and is chair of the legislative committee. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering to assist local 4-H and FFA groups. He lives with his wife Hannah who also serves the dairy industry in her role as President and CEO of the Animal Agriculture Alliance in Arlington, Virginia.
